my holey moley explorations continue and Layers has been very stimulating - dale shared the technique she used to create the 'cover image' for Holey Moley, i was delighted as i had been trying to work out what stitch she had used - it struck me that it could be applied to my Chard leaves project so i have been working on that ....but more of that later

i was also inspired to apply the romeo & layered sheers approach to another WIP - for a long time i've been wanting to do a piece inspired by a postcard of Jaipur, the light bulb has finally lit up and i got my sheers & romeo equivalent out, stitched, snipped, added some painted bondaweb & other bits for texture and i've reached this point:

there's still quite a way to go but i'm happy so far

i also did some of the slash&burn work but have tried to work in ways i haven't tried before, using colours i pick less frequently
:

and trying to pile on more layers of stitch

i'm really quite chuffed with what i've been up to - i've also managed to finish one of my Planet-Re-Cycle pieces with the idea of sending in it for Textile Tantrums .... but i have a feeling that i might have missed the deadline as it has to be in Oz by the 26th and i haven't posted it yet - i will have to make a dash to the post office on monday morning ..... watch this space!
