doodle doiley

late last year i pieced together some pieces of eco-dyed fabric, i made three rectangles which could be stitched together or develop separately - i've been working on one while the other two hang on the thinking wall

so far i'm stitch doodling, dipping in to frankenstitch and jude-style - i haven't limited myself to my own dyed yarns this time and am incorporating non-dyed textiles - i'm thinking about including some non-textile items too, if the right ones come to my attention

posting these pictures has made me think about what i've been up to recently ...... i thought i was going through a bit of a fallow patch, in terms of original work that is true but i have been keeping busy since christmas:
i finished a dozen woven mug-rugs, my biggest order so far, and i sold a few more of the patchworky ones too - knitted two scarves for a friend who bought lots of yarn then ran out of steam - started on a commission for wedding invitations

and, on reflection, doing the cards has got the juices flowing a bit
