garden surprise

feeling a bit under the weather i've been spending more time in bed, watching the birds in the garden to pass the time - blue tits have picked one of our nest boxes for their new nursery, they are back and forth with beakfulls of mossy stuff - i had also noticed robin activity focused around the potting shed - i thought they were building a nest and thought i should check to see that they weren't building near something we need to access - i don't want to disturb them once they are settled, so yesterday i went out for a look

i found the nest pretty quickly and took some photos - when i looked at them on screen i realised that there is a chick in there already - the yellow beak is just visible in the middle

so now we wait and watch
