after a bit of fiddling and repositioning of the dates, the back is finished - again i have kept it simple - i like the contrast between the metal and lace elements

the brassy plates replacing the stiches add a functional, military touch to this mainly decorative piece

i am a little disappointed that i won't be able to see all the hearts assembled, but hope that someone will post photos of the installation in November

2nd dec - drat, i've just realised that i've pinned the wrong date on the back - it should be 17. 2 1917 not 17.12 - i need to sort that out when i get it back
