baby clothes - ideas

two things have come to mind just recently - the first was that i asked my my mother about any nicknames or petits noms (pet names) she had been given  - i already knew that Daniel was called Dani, but only by his wife Giselle

mum told me that her father had called her Niquette, a personal diminutive for Moniquette, but that when he died the name fell out of use - she had never mentioned that before, although i knew of several "petits noms" my father had used (odd that she never used pet names for my father...?) - since then she has referred to her pet name several times, so maybe it stirred something

the second thing is the idea of producing a concertina book structure for the completed item/s - i thought about putting the finished smocking with details in a small shadow-box, then using that as the cover or based for a concerta book with images of Dani & Niquette as children and other material relating to the project - i like this as it now gives me an idea of the size and format i could be working with
