Le Tour passes through

Le Tour in Yorkshire has been an incredible success - phenomenal crowds, only short stretches of the route weren't lined with fans and supporters - the weather was perfect, particularly for stage two which came through Calderdale, where we are - the scenic footage on t.v. was excellent, a better advert for the attractions of yorkshire would be difficult to achieve - local communities have put on festivals and parties, schools even miles away from the route have been creating and putting up all sorts of decorative artwork - commissioned landscape artworks are dotted around and more







our few photos are a drop in the ocean of delights spread around the area

we chose to watch the race on screen but did make it into town before the riders came through, to see the publicity caravan and take in the atmosphere

 everyone had to wait until they hit the south for rain - so a resounding success for Yorkshire
