summer stitching

still rather unfocussed at the moment, wandering from one thing to another, sampling and dabbling

i think this little leaflet of rusted cloth is done




the cloth was rusted last year during the alice fox course at avg

the fabric was a bit flimsy for stitching so i backed it, but this made it a bit bulky for the folds involved

this leaflet form probably works better in paper, a single layer of fabric, or in a larger size

the stitching is mostly sampling of ideas picked up recently

the memory stick is slowly growing - trying to keep it simple - applying some of the sampling i tried in the rusty leaflet

the strip of cloth is folded over at the top, for draping over a horizontal stick - sections of both sides

the pound coin is for scale
