decided at last

now that my wrist is back in working order and that we have a date for a family gathering it was time to get back to my memory cloth work - the format of the piece has been undecided and i am glad of that as i haven't had much cloth to work with yet and would not have been able to make any progress anyway

so  i thought the best thing to do is to keep it simple so that it can be put together quickly and easily, with much of it being done at the family gathering - i finally decided on a really simple idea of cloth strips which can be tied and looped to form a chain or network - no stitching involved just cutting or tearing strips of fabric .... easy peasy

i can do some before the event with cloth i am sent but the rest is hands-on and inclusive

i've drawn some simple instructions so that those who want to can start their own chains/wreaths and bring or send them - but also so that everyone can get an idea of the size of cloth i would like from them - i thought that asking for "a piece of cloth" is a bit vague, but showing what will happen to it makes it easier to decide what and how much to send - i've sent it off with a covering email & download to the "senior" family members with a request to forward it - now i wait.....again

An absolutely brilliant hands-on project to build and strengthen connections. Thank you, I think my women's circle will love this as much as I do.
