doodle-patch - still playing
somehow the full colour approach wasn't working for me so i've gone for a more limited palette - using fairly standard crazy patchwork stitches for boundaries and more experiments to fill the spaces (or not) and aiming to vary the texture with the stitching - sticking to the shapes and spaces created by the patches rather than meandering off and blurring the boundaries
this feels better, more of a comfortable combination of styles which i might be able to develop further - it feels less removed from my usual approach and i feel more involved in the stitching rhythm than it's quality
