UFO's are landing!
recently i seem to have finished a few pieces - i put it down to having so many UFOs knocking around but i think it's also because i've been quietly and persistently stitching away - shifting from one thing to another in my usual undecided way - but for once several items feel complete at roughly the same time.... coincidence or serendipity? i've been feeling rather purposeless but finishing pieces feels good
M100 is now up on the wall, looking good in the winter morning sun, next to the two Michael B-W frames.

last week the wrapping cloth i started after Fabienne's workshop felt complete
after a workshop with amanda clayton i have been working white on white - this little planet sampler came up
working neatly, with fine stitching on very fine fabric was something of a challenge but i enjoyed it - the stitching isn't always as even as i would like but i think i did better than i thought i would, and i improved as i went along
creating the edging was the most fun and stitching it on was very satisfying - i started with a lighter weight of wire, but i feel this heavier one was right
this is the side made from Fabienne's eucalyptus dyed wool |
this side is some of my previous dyed scraps |
