last weekend i went to the Selvedge event at Pendle Heritage Centre - it was smaller than i expected but an interesting selection of makers and exhibitors - i hope Selvedge will have felt it was successful enough to hold events in more venues around the country, showcasing local artists as well as some from out of the area
this event was also part of the Fabrications textile festival which was the reason we headed north - i have been visiting some of the exhibitions in Burnley and Blackburn, but more of that elsewhere
inspired by some of Priscilla Jones's work, and too late to get a place on her workshop at Pendle, i have been playing with wire and what i had with me in the caravan
i think i'm getting too involved in fiddly detail, but i suppose it's all part of the discovery process - where to next .....?
