tea with latifa progress

this is where i was a couple of days ago:


the motifs stand out quite strongly as the are only lightly attached - since then all the motifs have been felted in place and back-felted to tone them down a bit - the original square is currently pinned in place
now i think i've reached another point where i need to sit back and consider my next step - i really want to add another layer somehow, some sort of veil effect through which the rest is viewed/glimpsed ....... how?
