back up north

staying in elland again i've managed to get to Bankfield, my favourite museum, a couple of times - the highlight the first time was an exhibition by Gillian Travis very inspiring, it gave me some ideas on how to progress some stuff i've been thinking about for a while

the exhibition had changed in time for my most recent visit, this time it was Calderdale Quilters - a wide variety of different quilts, mostly fairly traditional in style or technique - the interesting bit was the freebie ..... a pack of fabric scraps to turn into a quilt:

i've already worked out roughly what i think i'm going to do - i think it will be something like:

i'm itching to get started but need to get some batting or similar, so it's off to the charity shops this afternoon!

Love how you are tying all these different fabrics together with the use of the daisies and polka-dots.
