new work for spring

i've put the frankenstitch to one side for the moment - i've gone back to a bit of C2C work, preparing some clothweave inserts for a linen shirt and starting on a piece using samples from my eco-dyeing so far:

i've torn off strips from most of my recently dyed cloth and found a large old fine hanky to stitch them to, also dyed some fine yarns to stitch with

i think it will be a sort of wrapping cloth - can't decide whether do do it reversible or just one sided and then back it later ....?

for the moment i will just baste some pieces in place and see what occurs to me .... no fixed ideas and go with whtat i feel - it will be a good piece to work on in the caravan, we've decided on our first trip .... down to sussex in ten days or so, mum will be pleased
