boiler doiley update
both are completed now and hanging - the second one is hanging over the boiler, as it was meant to, but i haven't taken a photo yet
the original has been re-oriented and hangs horizontally, it gets a lot of sunlight which plays well with the colours and casts lovely shadows - but i am a little concerned that some of the colours will fade fast
it's the biggest non-functional piece i've made at 53 x 110cm, i'm still tempted to add to it but i'll let it sit for a while

the quick answer is that it hasn't faded noticeably, although some of the yellower areas seem paler and browner - as far as i know natural yellows are more fugitive anyway - i would not have been surprised if it had lost much more detail but close inspection indicates that this doesn't seem to have happened
so overall i am happy with the way it is holding up, especially given my inexperience in eco-dyeing when i did most of it (not that i've improved much since then!)
