white storming

what if ....

white started as colour and became white

like the change when it snowed or when the frost came

white stretched out over the coloured world

jack frost sending fingers of white to wrap the tender green

a world wearing wisps of white

the idea draws me but how to cloth it is out of reach just now

or a veil of white

a fine shimmer of frost overlaying colour

showing glimpses of colour as it melts

that i can cloth - i think i have just the weave

i hoped it would become a wrapping cloth

now i can see how it might become whiter and more precious

the weave is reversible
both sides could be used

top layer     

this is just a sketch, positions would vary - the circles are cut out of the shear layer - the rings would be white stitching - and more concentric rings of white stitch all over - some circles could be placed on the reverse too
