still flying
as i enjoyed doing the square for our branch challenge i volunteered to make another - i was thinking about a roman theme, maybe connected with healing ..... but remembered that the royston cave theme still had motifs i wanted to try, so i've gone back to it - i liked the hand releasing a dove (?noah)
but it is too big to show up well on a 4 inch square, on a wall, with lots more squares - so it will have to be the dove alone as i have already done hands - there is something that really appeals to me about that hand, it's so open, simple and giving .... i suspect i will come back to it
so it's to be another bird - they seem to feature in my stitching recently, odd as they don't hold any particular fascination for me as a motif usually .... maybe it's an omen!!!!! more likely just a coincidence that birds happen to suit at the moment
anyway back to the dove for CC2013 -
that's the plan so far ..... will i stick to it?

i will go with the same 'stained glass' look as before but on a blue background (sky?) sort of like this:
