what iffing a bit

i've been sitting of some photos taken at hatton lock three years ago, wanting to use them as a source for a textile piece this one is a particular favourite:
i have already tried developing it for use a couple of times, hence the colour samples - actually it's already been quite useful as an exercise in photo manipulation and abstraction

i have simplified it to get the shapes and areas of colour i want to concentrate on but i get stuck on the transition to fibre - it occured to me recently that it might work in eco-dyed fabrics and that i should be less precise about recreating the shapes ..... and focus more on the overall impression


looks like a plan i could try
