sad news

the robinettes didn't make it - i found the nest on the floor this morning - i hope the parents are safe, if they are they still have time for another brood

i suspect one of our local cats as the guilty party - i would prefer it to have been a wild animal who needed the food but a domestic cat only has the excuse of instinct

mick is not around and i am not looking forward to telling him - i feel disproportionately upset, this somehow give me an excuse for a good weep about other losses too - a good day for some quiet stitching  - the circle of life goes on
