pinny progress
the pinny plods on - it's been my refuge recently as i've been struggling with some tricky paperwork - the soothing regularity of repeated stitch has been working its magic on my befuddled brain
one doiley has moved into the pocket, so it is hidden - tiny glimpses can be seen through the perforations in the works covering it so it's a secret doiley now
i'm really enjoying the little challenges i have set myself; making it reversible and creating windows - and wondering about the stories of the pieces i am adding and their makers; who made it? why they made made the piece? was it made for sale or for their own family & friends? who used this piece?why is it unfinished? how did that stain happen?
every so often i try adding another scrap to see if it works - it's good to play around with the way this might develop - oddly for me i am tempted to add some words, i've been looking for relevant quotes, sayings, and phrases, unsure of how to work them in ... maybe on the tapes?
