really enjoyed doing these - the way the shape of the inclusion sharpened as i built up the lines of stitch was quite surprising

as i'm not experienced in patchwork techniques the piecing is rather rough (machined) and i notice that i have put in one line upside-down - do i take it apart and put it right?

meanwhile 9#8 has started - it was going to be paper & textile collage but digging through my papers led me on to my eco-dyed papers - i found one which would be big enough to form a 9 square, waxed it with bee's and candle wax and added some lines of machine stitch, then cut into 9 squares
