I feel as if I am working in the dark, don't know what I am aiming at and there seems an awful lot of "blank canvas"!
I am working with size 9 needle ( big for me) and no magnifying glass. Trying to relax and enjoy the simple process but I can't get past worrying that I am going to end up with nothing. I remember you saying clearly that the point for you was the process and not end product so I am trying to keep this in mind

I like the texture where the stitches overlap. I can work a bottom layer of stitching into the top layer in a paler colour and it seems to help bind the two into the background fabric.
