all quiet
i've been very quiet for while, mainly because i've been having a bit of a creative lull - busy planning stuff for the "doiley makers club" and getting to the occasional exhibition
a trip in june left me with a badly sprained ankle and slowed me down a lot - these things tend to make my brain fuzzy - all better now but still a bit blocked - but have been getting some pieces finished
our doily chair's challenge this year is a myriorama of an endless garden - not my usual cup of tea but i though i'd give it a go - i struggled to get going but eventually hit on a couple of ideas which worked for me
it's more "landscape" than "garden" and definitely more rough & ready than the delicate needlework some of the other members are doing - at least it will provide some contrast!
i also managed to prepare Winter Keys for hanging, just in time for an exhibition of work inspired by workshops a Art Van Go - i might also send in Earthbound
i harvested our lavender last week and the beloved is so infatuated with the smell of it that he insisted i make him some lavender bags to sniff - so i did .....
he chose the fabrics and i did some variations
now i want to get cracking on a new project - but what?
