i thought this would be fairly straight forward, but it turned out to be more fiddly than anticipated, along with my usual tweaks to the plan along the way - i'm sure a felter would have know the most effective and efficient way to do this but time is my friend so i spent plenty of it!

i wasn't at all sure how well this would work, but i am fairly pleased with the result - i had not planned on the contours on the  wider, areas, but feel they  are right all the same - the next challenge is the edges after trimming, but that's for later

working with pre-felt, especially in white is like handling user friendly cloud ..... warm and comforting - and helps affirm the link with all the sheep in the yorkshire landscape;

the sheep that kept the looms working, built the factories and homes which furnish the landscape, influencing so many aspects of yorkshire life - all this and more is wrapped in those layers of wool
