making tracks on yorkshire

stitching is finally under way on the top and bottom panels - the wall feels right so far and the cogs and sprockets are coming along - they will get a very faint wash of colour, probably followed by a sprinkling of tiny seed stitch for texture

also the overall plan has changed, again - the felt looks wrong placed on the  background - so i am going back to a tryptich format of three panels on a background - probably using a very distressed OS map as the base layer - fortunately the stash includes 2 of these, showing different parts of Yorkshire, a mere drop in the stash ocean but it all helps!
