poetry of stitch - 1 - third exercise

 i struggled with this one but think it was worth the effort as it really does show how to vary the character of a filled space. using the same thread and basic straight lines

of course the same effect could be achieved with different thread/yarn or patterns, but that wasn't the point i guess

i particularly like the texture of the two thicker lines i stitched:  a variation on palestrina stitch (the thicker, knotty one) and the whipped chain variation
